AdFarm Joins Nourish Food Marketing, Kahntact, in Major Expansion of the Nourish Network

In 2015, ag-focused marketing communications firm Kahntact formed an alliance with Nourish Food Marketing, Canada’s only full-service marketing agency working exclusively with food and beverage clients. Collectively, we saw an opportunity to expand our individual purviews and cover more thoroughly the “food” side of agri-food communications and the farm side of the ‘farm to fork’ continuum in partnership.

Almost five years later, we continue to see the benefits of our collaborative relationship. Today, we're taking the next logical step by welcoming a new partner into the fold and extending the Nourish Network.

The Canadian agriculture sector is a force to be reckoned with in many ways:

  • According to Statistics Canada, the Canadian agriculture and agri-food system generated $111.9 billion of gross domestic product (GDP) and accounted for 6.7% of Canada's total GDP in 2016. It also employed approximately 2.3 million people, representing 12.5% of Canadian employment in 2016.
  • The value of Canada's agriculture and agri-food exports reached $56 billion in 2016, and with the addition of seafood exports, $62.6 billion.
  • On a value basis, it is estimated that in 2016 just over one-half of the value of primary agricultural production in Canada was exported either directly as primary agricultural commodities or indirectly as processed food and beverage products.
