We are looking for a creative and driven Junior Copywriter to work in our Creative Department alongside our Senior Copywriter and our Design and Social Media Teams to develop engaging copy for our clients’ digital campaigns and provide some community management support.
To be successful in this role, you must be highly capable in the social mediaverse, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
This is a full-time hybrid position — you will be required to work from our Toronto office a minimum of two days per week. You will report to the Senior Copywriter.
What You Will Do:
Write clear, engaging copy for social media, and potentially other creative initiatives, campaigns, and projects (e.g., digital ads, email campaigns, web content, blogs, and marketing campaign collateral)
Write words that inspire action — brief, conversational content that speaks directly to specific audiences
Help develop a variety of content for all social media platforms, including Reels, Stories, and more
Champion brand expression and tone of voice while maintaining consistency in copywriting
Engage with our clients’ social communities as needed
Follow a creative brief and demonstrate a clear understanding of client objectives
Collaborate closely with Design and Account teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated final product
Clearly and articulately present and explain your rationale for creative work
Use creative instincts to help brainstorm and develop engaging concepts for organic social and digital content
What You Will Need:
Minimum of a Copywriting or English degree or diploma program, or equivalent
Previous experience writing for digital marketing channels
Strong portfolio of writing samples that shows a range of forms and voices (spec work welcome or your own social profiles to demonstrate understanding of platforms)
Impeccable English language skills, including spelling and grammar
The ability to self-edit
Utilize AI tools regularly and know how to leverage for day-to-day tasks
Able to accept feedback with grace
Superior organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to create and edit short-form videos for social media would be a considerable asset
A passion for food and drink is an absolute must!
